Earthmate GPS LT-40 – GPS-приемник для ноутбуков.

Компания DeLorme сообщила о начале продаж Earthmate GPS LT-40 — GPS-приемника нового поколения, предназначенного для использования с ноутбуками и UMPC. LT-40 построен на базе чипсета Teseo компании STMicroelectronics, который обеспечивает приемнику высокую чувствительность и точность определения координат даже в условиях плотной городской застройки. Кроме GPS-приемника компания представила и две новых версии своего навигационного ПО — Street Atlas USA 2009, ориентированный на обычных пользователей, и Street Atlas USA 2009 PLUS, который предназначен для бизнеса и продвинутых пользователей. Кроме карт США программа предлагает еще и карты Канады и основных дорог Мексики. Версия PLUS отличается от обычной поддержкой импорта данных из различных программ и файлов. Также эта версия имеет встроенный телефонный справочник, который содержт более 150 миллионов телефонных номеров различных организаций на территории США. Комплект, состоящий из приемника Earthmate и программы Street Atlas USA 2009 стоит всего 70 долларов.

Участники консорциума Broadcaster Traffic (BTC): Beasley Broadcast Group, Bonneville International Corporation, Cox Radio Inc, Emmis Communications, Entercom Communications Corp, Greater Media, NPR и Radio One создали новое совместное предприятие для разработки и внедрения сети, покрывающей всю территорию США, которая будет передавать данные о трафике в режиме реального времени с помощью цифрового радиовещания.

В сети Интернет появились первые фотографии и спецификации нового смартфона Nokia Tube. От предшествующих моделей новинку отличает, прежде всего, сенсорный дисплей и отсутствие аппаратной клавиатуры. Сенсорный дисплей имеет диагональ 3”, соотношение сторон 16:9 и поддерживает тактильную обратную связь. Nokia Tube работает под управлением Simbian OS, поддерживает сотовые сети GSM и 3.5G, оснащена встроенным GPS-приемником, модулями WiFi и Bluetooth и камерой.

Компания Sanyo представила два новых навигатора серии Gorilla — NV-SB360DT и SD700DT. Обе новинки имеют 4 ГБ встроенной Flash-памяти и оснащены новой версией ПО Gorilla engine, которая обеспечивает быструю одновременную обработку GPS-сигналов, информации о трафике и мультмедиа. Обе модели оснащены ТВ-тюнером формата 1SEG, с помощью которого можно не только просматривать передачи, но и сохранять их на карту SD. Запись может включаться согласно заданной программе. Обе модели постоянно отслеживают скорость движения автомобиля и предупреждают о превышении скорости.

Takara CSW — руль, который подскажет куда ехать

Новый руль CSW, разработанный японской компанией Takara — это компьютер, который получает информацию с датчиков автомобиля. Он может предупредить водителя о различных проблемах, например, незакрытой двери или низком давлении в шинах. Но главная особенность CSW — поддержка двухстороннего обмена данными с GPS-навигатором Navigon 7100. Благодаря этому навигатор сможет получать информацию о скорости движения, направлении поворота и т.п. В то же время CSW позволит водителю меньше отвлекаться от дороги, так как с его помощью водитель может управлять навигатором, а компактный дисплей отображает основную навигационную информацию. К сожалению, пока не известно, кто из автопроизводителей оснастит свои машины этой новинкой.
